Cookie Policy
1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how HULLSNAP LTD ("HullSnap", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on hullsnap.com (the "Website"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

In the UK, the use of cookies is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) alongside the UK GDPR.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website can place on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, or to collect information about how a site is used. Similar technologies (such as local storage or tracking pixels) can be used for comparable purposes.
3. The cookies this Website uses
The Website uses two categories of non-essential cookies and similar technologies. Each is used only after you choose it in our cookie banner, and you can choose them separately:
| Your choice in the banner | What runs |
|---|---|
| Decline | Nothing non-essential. |
| Analytics only | Google Analytics 4. |
| Accept all | Google Analytics 4 and the LinkedIn Insight Tag (advertising measurement and retargeting). |
a) Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited). We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the Website is used — for example which pages are visited, how visitors move through the site, and whether the demo form was submitted successfully, the WhatsApp button was clicked or the demo film was played. Google Analytics is not loaded at all until you choose "Analytics only" or "Accept all" — before that, no Google script runs, no cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google. It uses IP-address anonymisation, and Google's advertising storage stays switched off: we do not use Google Analytics for advertising. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga (to distinguish visitors) and _ga_<id> (to keep session state). Google's default lifetime for both is 2 years (Google: cookie usage); our setup does not shorten it. They are renewed while you keep visiting and can be deleted at any time in your browser.
b) Advertising — LinkedIn Insight Tag (provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company). Only if you choose "Accept all", the Website loads LinkedIn's Insight Tag. We use it to:
- measure our LinkedIn ads — to learn whether a visit that started from one of our LinkedIn ads led to a successful demo request or a click on our WhatsApp button (we do not send LinkedIn your name, email or any other form content); and
- retarget — to show our LinkedIn ads again to LinkedIn members who visited this Website, and to see aggregated, anonymised information about the professional characteristics (for example industry or job function) of visitors.
LinkedIn sets or reads cookies for these purposes — for example li_fat_id and li_giant on hullsnap.com, and bcookie, lidc, UserMatchHistory, AnalyticsSyncHistory and li_sugr on linkedin.com — with lifetimes from one day to about one year. LinkedIn's own cookie table lists the current names and durations. We receive only aggregated reports from LinkedIn; we cannot identify you from them. LinkedIn's "enhanced conversions" (matching your email address) is not used. For the data LinkedIn receives through the tag, LinkedIn acts as an independent controller under its own terms and privacy policy; see our Privacy Policy, Section 7.
c) Campaign information. If you chose "Analytics only" or "Accept all" and arrived through one of our advertising links, the Website keeps that link's campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and LinkedIn's click identifier li_fat_id) in your browser's session storage until you close the tab, and sends them with your demo request. Without that choice, they are neither stored nor sent.
Strictly necessary storage. Your banner choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage (hs-consent-v1 and hs-consent-ver) so that we do not ask again on every page. This does not require consent.
Changing your mind. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page. Withdrawing stops the tags from loading from that moment (the page reloads); cookies already set can be removed in your browser settings. If you gave consent before the advertising option existed, that earlier consent covers analytics only: Google Analytics continues under it, the banner asks you again, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag never runs until you choose "Accept all".
4. What may change in future
We may later add further features that use cookies or similar technologies, for example:
- Bot protection — if we enable a challenge such as Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the demo form, that service may set its own cookie(s) on your device. This is not enabled today.
If we add any of these or any further advertising tool, we will update this policy before the feature goes live and, where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
5. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies and warn you before one is stored. Please note that blocking essential cookies can affect how some websites function. Guidance for common browsers is available from their providers, and general guidance is available from the ICO at ico.org.uk.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If we introduce further cookies, the update will be made before those cookies are used.
